I just saw a PSA type commercial for common sense in parenting, I guess. It had preteen girls singing in a YouTube video, an over-voice talking about role models, a second clip of a online article titled 'Racy Artists' with an image of Lady Gaga and the words:
The world has changed, parenting hasn't.
I-I don't know. I hate anything PSA-related as a rule, they always seem ridiculous. But this was just odd, and sort-of screamed 'family values'. Now, I'm all for common sense in parenting. Five years old don't need iPads or smartphones or GTA: Chinatown Wars, they don't. Hell, when I was five, I got excited getting a kids meal at McDonalds. I'm an insane fan of STFU, Parents for this reason.
But that was just weak, and stupid, and vaguely confusing.
